[摘要]很多人都會(huì)問:我要怎么開口和老板說我要加薪?求加薪的確是個(gè)技術(shù)活,說得好,不僅可以獲得期盼中的加薪,還可以讓老板意識(shí)到你的努力和認(rèn)真,但是說得不好可能給老板留下唯利是圖的壞印象。

 

職場(chǎng)英語:申請(qǐng)加薪時(shí)千萬不能說的6件事!

1. Don't bring up your co-worker's salary.

不要拿同事的薪水來說事。

First of all, you may not have all your facts right, and bringing up your colleague's salary will put your manager into an uncomfortable position. What you should do is compare what you're making to the industry average. Using the industry average will reflect well on you and will show your boss that you've been doing your research.

首先,你可能并不知道全部的事實(shí),如果你拿同事的薪水來和經(jīng)理談加薪的話,就會(huì)把經(jīng)理陷于尷尬的處境。你要做的是和你所在行業(yè)的平均薪資水平作比較。這樣做可以很好地向你的老板說明,你是有做過功課的。

2. Don't make it personal.

不要涉及個(gè)人私事。

The reason for your raise will be professional, so keep that in mind when you're asking for more. What you need to do is write a list of your wins at work, which will show your boss that you do deserve that increase in salary.

你獲得加薪的理由應(yīng)該是你的專業(yè)表現(xiàn),所以你要拿專業(yè)表現(xiàn)來說明問題。你可以先列一張單子,指出你在工作中所做出的成績,用事實(shí)告訴老板,你應(yīng)該獲得加薪。

3. Don't get emotional.

不要情緒化。

If things are not going your way or if you feel that your employer is wronging you, don't get emotional. Collect yourself and don't let your boss see that you're upset. Instead, take some time to think it over after your meeting to carefully craft your next move.

如果事情的發(fā)展不像你預(yù)料得那樣,或者你覺得老板誤解了你,不要情緒化。你應(yīng)該整理好自己的心情,別在老板面前顯得低落沮喪。相反,你需要花點(diǎn)時(shí)間仔細(xì)考慮下一步該怎么做。

4. Don't respond immediately if you're unsure.

不要在不確定的情況下冒然決定。

If your boss offers you an alternative and not the raise you're asking for, and if you have some doubt about it, don't immediately agree to it. Instead, ask her if you can take some time to think about it and let her know that you'll get back to her about her offer soon.

如果你的老板給你提供另外的選擇,而不是承諾你所希望的加薪,或者你對(duì)某些情況還不確定,那么就不要立刻表示同意。相反,你可以對(duì)老板說,能不能給我點(diǎn)時(shí)間考慮一下,并且告訴老板你會(huì)很快再去辦公室找她。

5. Don't be inflexible.

If your company doesn't have the resources or the budget to give you the raise you want right now, there can be other arrangements you can make with your boss in the meantime. Perhaps more paid time off days or the opportunity to work from home — find out what your manager is willing to give you in lieu of a raise.

如果你的公司暫時(shí)沒有給你加薪的預(yù)算,那么你可以和老板談一下,看看有沒有其他的安排可以彌補(bǔ),比如說帶薪假期或者在家工作??纯蠢习逶跊]有加薪的前提下,愿意給你什么樣的補(bǔ)償。

6. Don't give ultimatums.

不要下最后通牒。

People don't respond to threats very well and your manager will not be very happy if you give her an ultimatum. If you have other job opportunities, don't wave them in her face — just gracefully move on if you have better chance of advancing elsewhere.

人們都不喜歡被威脅。你給老板下最后通牒,老板肯定會(huì)不高興。如果你找好了新工作,別在老板面前得瑟。你只需要優(yōu)雅地轉(zhuǎn)身就好。
